Revisiting the Whole30

My husband, Jeff, and I tried the Whole30 this past August. We lost 10 lbs each almost immediately. The idea is that you focus on eating whole, non-inflammatory foods for 30 days. No sugar, gluten, legumes, dairy, or alcohol for 30 days.

It was crazy to see how many things sugar is added into. Bacon, hot sauce, pasta sauce… We loved the weight loss, but not the work/money involved in finding Whole30 approved foods.

Since our last Whole30, we have started shopping at Costco, which has helped us save a lot on meat and other staples.

We’re about to give the Whole30 another try – except we will eat the Bacon we currently have, my husband will eat yogurt, and we will occasionally drink alcohol.

This is Day 1. We’ll see what happens!
